The main objective of the Skill India programme is to provide adequate training in market-relevant skills to over 40 crore youth by 2022. It also aims to create opportunities for the development of talent within the country and improve the overall scope and space for underdeveloped sectors.

Mission

To train all eligible youth in 14-35 age group in the trade of their preference, provider facilities for acquisition and up gradation of skills of the unskilled and semi skilled workforce, enabling provision for the vulnerable session e.g. women, pwd and minorities and provide training in NSQF (National Skills Qualification Framework) compliant courses.

Vision

Promoting comprehensive development prosess by skilling youth of the State with high standards and free access irrespective of gender,cast, creed and disabilities focusing on enterpreneurship and to cater domestics as well as overseas market demand of mainpower in deferent sectors and enable them to earn sustainable livelihoods
